Sleepy Mrs. Ellis............(yawn)

Well, I have had an adventuresome two days!! Charissa went to an oral surgeon and had her four wisdom teeth removed. Mrs. Ellis has been reminded of all the things that I taught you( like love,and joy...having a happy heart,and peace( in trying times) Yesterday, Charissa was sick most of the day, and today she is in alot of pain. Last night I slept in the living room on a small 'Love seat" and so today I am a little sleepy...Would all my little friends pray for Charissa? Ask Jesus to help her to get better Quickly!! And after I sign off, I am going to go take a nap...zzzzzz Luv u Mrs. Ellis

Don't forget your Daddy!!!!!

Hola, aloha, hello everybody....Hope your morning is filled to the brim with God's Love, happy hearts all around, and God's Peace flowing like a river......Well I am sure the Holy Spirit prompted me to write to you today about something VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Do you know what tommorow is???? It's Father's Day!!!And that means you get to practice the 5th commandment to "Honor your Father" In God's awesome Word, the Bible it says:" Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.Honor your Father and Mother, which is the first commandment with a promise:that you may have a GOOD life and a LONG life and a HAPPY life"!!!!!Wow,what a promise. So that means you better get to work. Ask Jesus (your best friend in the whole world) how you can make your Daddy feel like a "KING for the day"Get out those crayons and make him a beautiful picture.Maybe you can ask your Mommy for some ideas of what your Daddy would like( Or a big sister or brother)You could always make a "Happy Heart" picture and put it under his pillow tonight(Cortney,keep up the good work!!!)Most importantly, ask God your "Heavenly Father" to fill you with His love for your Daddy. God smiles on you when you obey His word so do the best job in the whole world making your Daddy feel special. I will be praying for you, my little ones....Love 4-ever, Mrs. Ellis

Are you a brave little soldier?

Good Afternoon to all my little buddies!!!!! Let me tell you about my week. On Wednesday, my daughter, Charissa had to go to the Doctor's office to have a check-up because she is going away to college in the Fall( sniff-sniff) When we got there she found out she had to get 2 shots and a TB test-another poke. And then today she had to go get blood work done( O my goodness!!!!!) I kept telling her to be a "brave little soldier", because her big sister Laura had to have 30 surgeries by the time she was Charissa's age, 17. Laura is a very special girl......You would Love her if you met her, because she is so very kind and compassionate. The really neat thing is that someday very soon, Laura is going to be a Nurse and probably one of the best nurses around!!!If you were getting shots, Laura would be so gentle you would' nt even feel it. If you were sad , she would cry with you. If you were afraid, she would quietly pray for you and tell you "it's going to be okay". Do you remember our Bible story about Joseph and his "coat of many colors"? Lots of bad things happened to him, but the Bible said that " Joseph's heart Trusted in the Lord". And after many trials God Blessed Joseph and he became the King's helper!!!! Joseph said " What Satan meant for evil, God has used for good" It's kind of like that with Laura. She is one of the "bravest little soldiers" I know and I truely believe that God has prepared her through all her difficulties to do the job He has called her to " a nurse". So if you have to go to the Doctor's office this summer, remember to be Brave, Jesus is with you ( and remember Laura, the brave little soldier and Charissa, too!!!!) I Love You...........Mrs. Ellis

How are you??????

Hello my little friends, how are you doing? I hope you're having a fun summer. I have been so busy that it has been a while since I wrote ( I am sorry ) . Yesterday I was in Washington D. C. to see my youngest daughter graduate from High School. It was very exciting and I am very happy that God has been so good to her. The most AMAZING thing has been how quickly she grew up!!! I am sure you want to grow up too, but enjoy being a little person, because life is so simple , so fresh when you are young and as you grow up it becomes much harder to stay close to Jesus because there are so many distractions. The most important thing I want you to remember, in all that I taught you this year is: "Make God #1, #1, #1, Make God #1 this is the 1st commandment"!!!!! This is what I have been teaching my own children and I can see that as they look to God 1st He is guiding them and blessing their lives. I loved being your Teacher this year and now as I am home I love being Mr. Ellis' wife and the Mother of Jeremy, Sam, Hannah, Laura, and Charissa. Do you know, even when they get married I still pray for them every morning, just like I pray for you. Even though I can't see you , you will always be in my heart and prayers. Remember to make new friends this summer, and keep the old because "One is silver and the other gold"!!!!Lots and Lots of Love..........Mrs. Ellis

Let everything that has breath.......

Good morning little ones, how are you ? Do you remember when we went outside to the playground, how we would hear the little birds singing and I would tell you to listen, because they were "praising the Lord"? Well, this morning I went out in my backyard to hang some wash, and there was a whole symphony of Praise going on!!! I heard a woodpecker, pecking loudly on one of our maple trees. Then this little gray bird came right up to me and started to sing his own little song( and I sang back to him!) Then I saw several robins, I think it was a mom and a dad, and they were singing "cheer-up, cheeralee".I was just awed at the beauty of our Heavenly Father's Creation and this Bible verse came to my mind : "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" It's from Psalm 150. Today, I want you to put on your "praiser sunglasses" and when you are outside, look for something that is "praising the Lord"(hint: when the trees blow in the wind , they are clapping their hands in praise; the crickets praise Him by chirping; the birds by singing;the dogs by barking etc.) And then you can lift up your heart and voice and give Jesus a great "Praise you Jesus"!!!!!!! I Love You so much!!!!!!!!! :)

Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS!

Good morning to all my friends,old and new! I am sorry it has been a while since I wrote.I am planning a graduation party for my "baby" Charissa (she is 17 years old but once a baby always a baby) As I was praying this morning, God very clearly showed me Phil.4 where Paul says "Rejoice always. In everything ,give thanks. Be anxious for NOTHING, but in everything by praying, with THANKSGIVING, give Jesus your needs and His peace will fill up your heart and mind!! God's word is such an awesome tool in our lives, like a flashlight when the lights go out, or the rudder that guides the ship. It helps to guide our hearts on the right path, towards Jesus. Isn't that what we want, to be more like Him? Then we need to know His Word,and then OBEY RIGHT AWAY!!!!Of course, we need His Grace to do that so we cry out to Him,and He is right there, ready to help. Please pray for me that "Mrs. Ellis would be a "Mary" not a "Martha" this week." I need to sit at Jesus' feet first thing, every morning!!( Remember that Bible srory? ) Love to all my little friends............

Well my little friends, today is the beginning of our "Summer journey". Believe it or not,up until about a month ago,this computer was my biggest enemy, and now it will be "our friend" because I can talk to you through it.I want you to know that every morning when I wake up (very early,like 4AM) I will be praying for you and your family. The most important thing is that you continue to practice all the wonderful things that we learned this year(Jesus will be your helper in this).And I will write to you as the Holy Spirit leads me(He's a great helper too).So get ready for a GREAT ADVENTURE!!!!
